At Project Freedom, our mission is to empower individuals and families to live lives of freedom — free from poverty, isolation, and the cycles of hardship that hold people back. We exist to relieve poverty, promote wellbeing, and build inclusive communities where everyone can belong, contribute, and thrive. 

We believe that freedom isn’t just the absence of struggle — it’s the presence of opportunity, dignity, and hope.

Our Charitable Purposes

Project Freedom operates for the public benefit in accordance with the following charitable purposes:

Prevention

The prevention or relief of poverty, by providing affordable goods, essential supplies, and crisis support. 

Education

The advancement of education and training, through volunteering, mentoring, and skill-building programmes that promote personal development and employability. 

Health

The advancement of health and wellbeing, by offering early intervention, mentoring, and therapeutic support to strengthen emotional and mental health. 

Development

The advancement of citizenship and community development, by encouraging participation, belonging, and shared purpose across diverse groups. 

Relief

The relief of those in need, due to youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship, or social exclusion

Our Key Activities

Our charity shop provides good-quality, low-cost clothing, household goods, and essentials. It serves as both a community hub and a practical means of:

  • Supporting those experiencing financial hardship
  • Providing rehousing and crisis packages for individuals and families in urgent need
  • Promoting environmental responsibility through recycling and waste reduction
