Our Key Activities

What else does Project Freedom offer?

Community Hub - Play Shack, Mesnes Park Wigan – Family Support & Early Intervention

The Play Shack provides family play sessions designed to help parents and children build stronger relationships through play and shared experiences.

Alongside this, we offer early intervention and support, including:
• Mentoring and therapeutic guidance
• Help for families experiencing conflict, bereavement, or addiction-related challenges

These sessions create safe, supportive environments where families can reconnect and begin to live freer, healthier lives.

Mentoring & Group Support

We provide access to mentoring, group support, and therapeutic sessions that encourage personal growth, accountability, and wellbeing.

Our Freedom Breakfast brings people together for conversation, encouragement, and purpose — helping participants set goals, overcome barriers, and find freedom in community and recovery.

Through this work, we promote mental health, resilience, and lasting positive change.

Skate Park Outreach

Our mobile skate park, valued at £40,000, provides safe, positive spaces for young people to gather, learn, and grow.

Delivered via trailer, this resource supports youth engagement and early intervention by:
• Offering recreation and mentoring opportunities
• Building confidence and teamwork
• Encouraging healthy choices and community participation

The skate park is also available for long-term hire or purchase, helping sustain Project Freedom’s outreach and youth development work.

Sustainable Income

Project Freedom owns a building in Liverpool that supports both community engagement and sustainable funding.
• The ground floor is leased to a local barber, supporting local enterprise and footfall.
• The upstairs flat is rented to marginalised tenants, providing stable and affordable accommodation.

This approach fulfils our charitable aims while generating income that’s reinvested into our core community projects — ensuring we can continue helping people live lives of freedom for years to come.
